The gap we set out to solve
Accounting firms don’t struggle because they lack standards, talent, or expertise.
They struggle because the systems available to them were never designed to support how audit and tax work actually happens.
Firms needed ways to adapt off-the-shelf standards into firm-specific methodologies that used their resources effectively, supported professional judgment, and remained compliant. Instead, critical methodology lived in Word documents, spreadsheets, and PDFs that couldn’t be analyzed, enforced, or connected to day-to-day execution.
Audit work rarely follows a straight line. Teams work concurrently, risks evolve, and decisions require context. But most industry tools reduce this complexity to linear task tracking, leaving gaps between methodology, workflow, and quality control.
Building truly capable enterprise systems wasn’t realistic for most firms. The cost, effort, and long-term maintenance made custom solutions impractical, while off-the-shelf tools remained too basic to handle real-world complexity.
